Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the sensor myself, as I'm not really familiar with car electronics. Where exactly is the acceleration sensor located? Is it something I can easily access?

Given your unfamiliarity, I strongly advise against attempting to diagnose or repair the acceleration sensor yourself. The system is complex, and improper handling could potentially damage the system further or even cause unintended deployment of the active hood. It is recommended you take your Dynasty to a qualified workshop for professional diagnostics and repair.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right - it was the acceleration sensor. The total repair cost was 315€. Appreciate the help!

The active hood system in your 2001 Dynasty is designed for pedestrian safety. The error message, airbag light, and stored error codes, combined with the active hood triggering, strongly indicate a malfunction within the system. Specifically, the acceleration sensor is a likely culprit. Have you inspected the sensor or its wiring harness for any visible damage?
