E Klasse door handle keyless entry issue

Has anyone else had issues with the door handle on their E Klasse? My 2022 diesel E Klasse has keyless entry problems. Only done 13366 km. Now the keyless doesn't work on the driver's door, and the error memory has a fault stored. I'm guessing it's a dodgy connection or wiring fault in the door mechanism or door actuator perhaps? Related to the electric door or door switch?

Summary of the thread

The conversation centers around a keyless entry issue with a 2022 diesel E Klasse, where the driver's door stopped responding, and an error was logged in the system. The problem was suspected to be a faulty connection or wiring issue within the door mechanism or actuator. A suggestion was made to consult a professional mechanic, which led to the discovery and repair of a dodgy connection in the door mechanism, resolving the issue.

I am awfully sorry to hear you are experiencing such difficulties with your vehicle. I must say, your situation is quite reminiscent of an episode I encountered with my own E Klasse some time ago. While the particulars may differ slightly, the overarching theme of keyless entry malfunction rings a bell. In my case, the fault lay within the door actuator itself. Could you perhaps elaborate on whether you have observed any unusual behavior from the door mechanism or door switch preceding this keyless entry failure? Any additional details you might provide could prove invaluable in diagnosing the root cause of the issue.

Thanks for the reply. Unusual behaviour? Not really. It just stopped working one day. No weird noises or anything from the door mechanism or door actuator beforehand. Any idea what it cost you to fix?

Ah, I see. The sudden cessation of functionality does indeed paint a picture of a potential wiring fault or perhaps a malfunctioning door switch. Considering my past experience, I would strongly suggest consulting with a qualified mechanic at your earliest convenience. It is quite possible that a thorough inspection will be required to ascertain the exact nature of the problem. I ended up going to the workshop, it was a bit beyond my capabilities. They sorted it out properly. It is a good idea to get a professional to look at it.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the shop as you suggested. Turns out you were right, it was a dodgy connection in the door mechanism. They fixed the wiring fault and cleared the error memory. Cost me 95€. All good now.
