E Klasse Height Control Issue

My 2019 Mercedes E Klasse hybrid is giving me grief with the 'Height control restricted' warning. The low beams are all over the place, either shining way too low or annoyingly high, and it feels super bumpy! I've got almost 200000 km on the clock. The car is sitting unevenly too, the front seems lower than the rear. I scanned it and it's throwing an error related to the leveling system. I'm suspecting a defective control rod on the height sensor. Has anyone else battled this?

I had a similar issue with my E Klasse recently. Also got the 'Height control restricted' message. Does it feel like the height adjustment isn't working at all? Have you checked the connections to the height sensor itself? Sometimes it's just a loose wire.

Thanks for the quick reply! Height adjustment definitely feels off, it's like the system is completely lost. Where exactly is the height sensor located? I'll check the connections as you suggested. Is it easy to spot?

Mine was on one of the suspension arms, front I think. Honestly, I didn't mess with it too much myself. I took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out quickly. They mentioned something about the control module needing a reset after replacing the sensor. Might be worth getting it checked professionally.

Appreciate the advice! I checked the connections, and everything seemed fine. I took it to a workshop just like you suggested. Turns out it was indeed a defective control rod on the height sensor. They replaced it, reset the control module, and now the suspension is back to normal. The bumpy ride is gone! Cost me 110€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!
