E Klasse hybrid rail pressure sensor issue

My 2021 Mercedes E Klasse hybrid is throwing a check engine light and acting up. It's got about 229375 km on it. The main issue seems to be the engine stalls at idle sometimes, and I've noticed a definite reduction in power. I scanned the codes, and it's pointing to a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. I'm guessing the pressure sensor is defective? Anyone else run into this with their fuel injection system?

Rail pressure issues, huh? Sounds familiar! I had similar problems with my E Klasse. Check engine light, the works. Could it be the fuel injection system itself causing the sensor to freak out? Did you try cleaning the sensor?

Cleaning the sensor, interesting idea. I haven't tried that yet. Where is the rail pressure sensor located exactly? And what did you end up doing to fix your issue? Was it just a bad sensor?

Honestly, I couldn't even find the stupid sensor! I ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the rail pressure sensor and replaced it. Problem solved! Saved me a lot of headache. Maybe you should consider it too?

Thanks for the input! I appreciate hearing about your experience. I took it to my mechanic, and you were spot on. It was indeed the rail pressure sensor. New sensor, and all is well again. Total cost was about 240€. Cheers!
