E Klasse Indicator Light Problem

Has anyone seen indicator light issues on a 2005 E Klasse Gasoline?

I had something similar happen on my E Klasse too, though mine's a slightly different year. The error message in the speedometer is super annoying, isn't it? Did you check the bulbs? Sometimes it's something simple like one of the little side marker bulbs causing the whole system to freak out. What exactly does the error memory say?

That error message is driving me crazy! I checked the main signal lamp bulbs, they look fine. But you mentioned side marker bulbs? Where are those located, and could a tiny bulb really cause all this drama? As for the error memory, I'll have to check the exact code again, but it definitely pointed to a lighting fault.

Okay, so on mine, the side marker bulbs are little tiny things right next to the main headlight assembly. They're a pain to get to. And yes, I couldn't believe it either, but that little bulb being out threw the whole system into a tizzy. If the error code points to lighting and the main indicator light is good, I would bet money on it being a bad connection or a faulty bulb somewhere in the automotive lighting system, or even a defective signal lamp module. Given the age of our cars, I'd say it's worth having a workshop take a look, especially if you suspect a defective connection. They can trace the electrical fault properly. It might save you a headache in the long run.

You were spot on! Took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a corroded plug connection on the side marker light, just like you suspected. They cleaned it up and replaced the bulb - total cost was 95€. Error message is gone, and everything is working perfectly again. Thanks a bunch for the help!
