E Klasse lighting problem

Has anyone experienced light issues with a Mercedes E Klasse? My 2016 hybrid has a weird lighting problem. The lights switch on randomly, and there's an error stored. I suspect a defective cable or plug. Could it be the dimmer switch? Repair cost is estimated at 95€.

I had similar electrical problem with my E Klasse. Check the headlight switch and the fuse box. It might be a faulty car switch, not necessarily the dimmer switch specifically.

Where exactly did you find the issue? Was it a loose connection or a completely broken component?

Turned out it was a corroded connector in the fuse box related to the headlight switch wiring. Best to get it checked by a workshop, they can diagnose it properly.
