Ecosport blower motor issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2003 Ford Ecosport diesel. The blower motor isn't working at all. I've been digging, and it looks like it might be the AUC sensor – the Auto Recirculation Control sensor, right? The one that's supposed to detect pollutants and automatically close the air recirculation flap? My research points to a defective cable or plug connection for this sensor. Has anyone else run into this? It's driving me nuts!

I had a similar problem with my Ecosport. The AUC sensor, or odor sensor as some call it, can definitely cause issues with the ventilation system. Is it possible that a wire came loose?

Yes, the blower motor stopped completely. Given the potential complexity of the wiring and sensor, and without proper diagnostic tools, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and ensure a reliable repair.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was the AUC sensor cable. They charged me 95€ to fix it, but at least it's working now!
