Ecosport Bluetooth pairing issue

My 2006 Ford Ecosport, gasoline engine, has developed a curious fault at 203010 km. The system reports function restrictions. Specifically, I can no longer connect my smartphone. Error is stored in the error memory, which, based on my diagnostics, points to an incorrect pairing issue. Anyone seen this before?

Incorrect pairing, eh? Have you tried all the standard Bluetooth troubleshooting steps? Forgetting the device on both ends, restarting your phone and the car's system? What about checking for any firmware revisions for the car's infotainment system? Could be a glitch they've patched.

Yes, standard procedures were performed. Bluetooth caches cleared on both the device and the car. A system reset of the car's computer was performed with no effect. The system firmware is current. Anything beyond a simple re-sync procedure?

Sounds like you've exhausted the DIY options then. If a full system reset and firmware check didn't solve it, and you're sure about the pairing issue diagnosis, it might be something deeper with the Bluetooth module itself. Probably a visit to a workshop is best.

Indeed. Your assessment confirms my own. A visit to the shop confirmed the likely cause. Cost 45€ and everything works again. Thank you for the advice.
