Yes, I did consider replacing the battery. Before I proceed, could you elaborate on the specific symptoms you had with your BMW, and whether a simple battery replacement resolved them?

With my BMW, the comfort access went completely haywire, and sometimes the car wouldn't even recognize the key was present. Replacing the battery did temporarily fix it, but the issue returned after a few months. I'd still suggest trying a new battery, but if the problem persists, take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the insight! It turns out the battery was indeed the culprit. I replaced it, and everything seems to be working fine now. The total cost was 37€. Hopefully, the issue won't return like it did with your BMW.

I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 series! 'Key battery low' warnings can be a real headache. Did you try swapping out the battery in the key fob itself? Low voltage can cause all sorts of weird electronic issues.
