Ecosport Poor Performance

My 2021 Ford Ecosport (gasoline engine) has issues at 55560 km: poor starts, higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling. Could a defective injection nozzle be the problem, or am I missing something?

Sounds familiar. I have an Ecosport as well. I had almost the same symptoms not too long ago. Have you considered that your injection valves might be dirty? It could be a clogging issue.

Interesting. Could a dirty injection valve really cause all these problems simultaneously? I'd assumed the symptoms pointed to something more complex. How did you confirm the clogging?

Well, think of it like this: each cylinder isn't getting the right amount of fuel, or the spray pattern is off. That will mess with your emissions, vehicle performance and fuel consumption all at once. I didn't confirm it myself, to be honest. I took it to a workshop. They ran some diagnostics, and that's what they found.

Understood. Your experience confirms my suspicions. I'll schedule a visit to the workshop and request an injection system check. It seems a cleaning or replacement of the injection nozzle is in order. Cost is estimated at 515€. Thanks for the insight.
