Ecosport transmission oil pressure fault

My 2017 Ford Ecosport diesel (234853 km) has an engine warning light for a transmission oil pressure sensor fault. The gearbox sometimes goes into emergency mode, slipping and shifting roughly, with occasional grinding. I checked obvious things, but no luck. Anyone seen this?

I had similar transmission issues with my Ford Ecosport. Mine's older, but it sounds similar. Is the oil level alright? Low gearbox oil was the cause for me.

Thanks! How did you check the oil level? I couldn't find a dipstick. Was it hard to get to?

There isn't a dipstick. A workshop checked my oil level. Since your symptoms are similar, I'd recommend a workshop visit. It could be a faulty pressure switch or sensor, but check the oil level first!

Thanks so much! A local workshop confirmed the low oil level. They topped it up and replaced the pressure sensor, which seems to have fixed it. The bill was 365€. Appreciate the help!
