Edge ignition problems

I'm having ignition problems with my 2023 Ford Edge, diesel engine, at about 215609 km. It sometimes won't start, shuts off while driving, and occasionally runs rough. I've checked for obvious issues, but I'm not a car mechanic. Any advice?

I had a similar problem with my Edge, drove me nuts! I bet you have a defective fuse. Check the fuse box first and see if anything looks burned or broken. Have you noticed anything else out of the ordinary, like flickering lights or the radio cutting out? It might help narrow things down.

Thanks for the quick response. Did the issue occur consistently, or was it sporadic? Was your Edge the same year and engine type as mine? I'll check the fuse box; are there particular fuses I should focus on?

Mine was sporadic at first, then more frequent. I don't have a 2023 model, but I suggest going to a workshop. They ran a full diagnostic and found my ignition switch was faulty. Cost a bit to fix, but worth it for the peace of mind. It might save you time and a headache trying to diagnose it yourself.

Based on your advice, I took the car to a trusted repair shop. They confirmed the ignition switch was the issue and fixed it. The repair cost me about 52€. The car now runs perfectly. I appreciate your help!
