Edge Radio Reception Issue

My 2020 Ford Edge diesel has a radio reception issue at 188948 km. I'm getting an error message, the audio system sometimes cuts out, and there's a stored error code related to antenna signal. I suspect a defective antenna, but initial checks haven't revealed any obvious physical damage. Anyone else experienced similar poor signal issues?

I also own a Ford Edge, though not the same year. I recall encountering similar FM signal problems some time ago. Was the error message you received specifically related to signal strength, or did it point towards a more general vehicle electronics malfunction?

Good question. The error message is fairly generic - something along the lines of 'Antenna connection error'. I was hoping for something more specific! Did your error message point towards the antenna, or was it less clear?

Ah, I see. Mine was also rather vague, unfortunately. Based on my experience, it's difficult to diagnose definitively without proper equipment. While it could indeed be the antenna itself, there could also be an issue with the wiring or the infotainment unit. To be safe, I suggest having a workshop check it out; it might save you a headache in the long run.
