Elantra keyless entry malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid experienced a malfunction with its keyless entry system, becoming completely unresponsive. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection in the door mechanism. After confirming that the problem affected all doors and ruling out fuse issues, a workshop visit revealed a faulty plug connection, which was repaired, restoring the keyless entry functionality.

Good question. It's affecting all doors, ruling out a single door mechanism failure, I think. As for the fuses, which one specifically controls the keyless entry system? I thought those were all good, but maybe I missed something.

Hmm, if it's all doors, a fuse is less likely, but still worth double-checking. Unfortunately, pinpointing the exact fuse for keyless entry can be a pain – it's often bundled with other systems. Given the error code and widespread issue, it probably needs professional attention. It sounds like a workshop visit is unavoidable.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. You're right, I took it to the workshop. Turns out it was indeed a faulty plug connection, just as I suspected. A quick repair set me back 95€, and the keyless entry is working perfectly again.

That's odd. I haven't had that specific problem with my Elantra, but electrical gremlins can be tricky. Does it affect all the doors, or just one? Have you checked the fuses related to the door locking system? Could be a simple fix.
