Elantra knock sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Hyundai Elantra hybrid is experiencing issues with the check engine light, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling. The problem is suspected to be a defective knock sensor, possibly due to a faulty connection. It is advised to take the car to a workshop for repair, as a similar issue was resolved by addressing the knock sensor.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'similar issue', was it also the knock sensor that was causing the problem? And if so, did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you end up taking it to a workshop?

Yes, it was the knock sensor. I suggest you go to the workshop.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but I think you're right, I'll take it to the workshop. Just got a quote of 95€ for the repair, so hopefully that'll sort it. Cheers!

I had a similar issue with my Elantra. The malfunction indicator was on and the car had poor performance. I think the cable or plug connection of the component might be defective.
