Elantra sun blind malfunction
Summary of the thread
The sun blind in a 2003 Hyundai Elantra is malfunctioning, failing to retract and extend properly, and showing an error in the memory. The suspected cause is a defective motor, as the sun blind is silent and not jammed. The suggested solution is to take it to a workshop for repair, which confirmed the motor issue and resolved it.

Thanks for the reply! No, it's not making any noise at all. I've tried to see if something is blocking it, but there is nothing obvious. Could it still be jammed even if it is not making any sounds?

Hmm, if it's totally silent and throwing an error, yeah, sounds like the motor is probably toast. I'd bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Seems like a pain to DIY.

Alright, I appreciate the input. I took it to the shop, and you were right, the motor was defective. Repair ended up costing 330€ Thanks again!

Ugh, that sucks! Electrical gremlins are the worst. Is it making any noise when you try to use it? Maybe it's just jammed somehow?
