Thanks, that's helpful. Where exactly is the wiper motor located on the Mini Cabrio? And how would I check the connection – just look for corrosion?

Okay, so on the Saab, the wiper motor was tucked up under the cowl, right below the windshield. I'm not sure about the Mini, but I imagine it's in a similar spot. As for checking the connection, yes, look for any signs of corrosion, loose wires, or damage to the plug itself. But honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around with electrical stuff, and especially with the error code pointing to a connection issue, maybe taking it to a workshop is the safest bet. 95€ isn't too bad, all things considered.

Just wanted to let you know I got it sorted. The shop confirmed it was a faulty connection as suspected. 95€ later, and my windshield wipers are back in action. Thanks for the advice!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with the wipers on my old Saab. Everything else worked fine – cruise control, the lights, everything. But the windshield wipers were completely dead. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connection in the wiper motor itself. It's like a chain reaction, one weak link and the whole thing fails. Have you checked the wiper motor directly?
