Electronics problems with the 2018 BMW 2 Series petrol engine: sat nav failure and warning lights

Hello everyone, I have a few problems with my 2018 BMW 2 Series gasoline engine, which now has 27790 km on it. The electronics have recently started to go haywire, my sat nav sometimes won't start at all or only after a while. And sometimes a warning light comes on in the speedometer. Have any of you had similar problems and can tell me how they were solved by your mechanic? My last visit to the garage wasn't that great, so I'd better ask here before I go there again. Thanks in advance!

The error message you're seeing typically indicates a communication issue between the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system and the rear axle speed sensor. This could be due to a faulty sensor, a wiring issue, or a problem with the DSC system itself. I would recommend starting with checking the rear axle speed sensor and its wiring. If the problem persists, you may need to have a mechanic inspect the DSC system. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Can this error cause a defect in the transfer case? After I have changed my summer tires 21 inch to winter tires 20 inch and set this tire in the on-board computer. The vehicle jerks when accelerating in the low km/h range. After I changed back to 21-inch tires in the on-board computer, the jerking is almost completely gone. Could this error be related to this?

Yes, it's possible that this error could be related to the issue you're experiencing. Changing tire sizes can affect the vehicle's speed sensors, which in turn can affect the transfer case and cause the vehicle to jerk when accelerating. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect your vehicle to confirm this. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hello, I'm contacting you because several features of the Carly application are no longer working properly, and I can't seem to solve these problems. First of all, I'm having trouble adapting the gearbox. It used to work, but I can't do it now. Secondly, regarding DPF regeneration, I can view and perform it on my Android device, but I can't access the function on my iPhone. I've been using Carly for several years now, and instead of improving the features, it seems that some of them are no longer working. I'd like to know what's causing these problems, and if any solutions can be found quickly. Thank you in advance for your feedback and any help you can give me. Yours faithfully

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the Carly app. For the gearbox adaptation issue, it could be due to a recent update or a compatibility issue with your vehicle. As for the DPF regeneration feature not being accessible on your iPhone, it could be due to differences in the app's functionality between Android and iOS devices. I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both devices, and ensuring that you have the latest version of the app. If the problems persist, please contact our support team for further assistance.

The issue could be due to a number of reasons such as a blown fuse, a burnt out bulb, or a wiring issue. I would recommend starting with checking the fuses and bulbs. If they are fine, you may need to inspect the wiring and switches. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, I would recommend having a mechanic inspect the lighting system. Please keep us updated on your progress.

The issue you're describing could be due to a faulty control module or a wiring issue. I would recommend starting with a simple reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If the problem persists, you may need to have a mechanic inspect the control module and wiring. Please keep us updated on your progress.

When I start the car when it is cold, it makes a noise as if the engine was hard to turn some component. once it gets warm, the noise disappears. In summer the Ac stopped cooling after 1-2 hours of driving. i thought it would be a lack of gas... but now i am not so sure...

The noise you're hearing when the engine is cold could be due to a number of things, such as a worn belt, a faulty pulley, or a problem with the starter. As for the AC issue, it could be due to a low refrigerant level, a faulty compressor, or a problem with the AC system's electrical controls. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect both the engine noise and the AC system. Please keep us updated on your progress.
