Elgrand Diesel Rough Running

My 2002 Nissan Elgrand diesel is running rough. Only 28421 km, but it's throwing a mixture prep error, reduced power, check engine light, idles like a tractor, plus jerks when I accelerate. Sometimes it even stalls! Thinking maybe a rich mixture issue. Could it be spark plugs, mass airflow sensor, intake manifold or throttle body?

Whoa, sounds rough! I have an Elgrand too. Had similar symptoms a while back: lack of power, rough running. For me, it ended up being a faulty injector. Did you check those?

Injectors, eh? Interesting. How did you figure out it was the injector? Was it hard to diagnose? Did you notice any other weird stuff going on?

Well, a mechanic friend had a look, ran some tests, and pinpointed it pretty quickly. I'm no expert, so I left it to him. But yeah, it could well be your injectors if the symptoms are that similar. Best get it checked at a workshop.

Cheers for the advice! Took it to the shop and you nailed it. Turned out one of the injection valves/injectors was defective. Cost me 515€ to get sorted but now she runs like a dream!
