Elgrand rough running engine light

Hi, I've got a 2000 Nissan Elgrand with a diesel engine that's playing up. It’s done 104440 km. The engine's running rough, and the check engine light is on. I plugged in an OBD reader and it's showing an error about 'reset quantity drift compensation'. Could this be a fuel injection issue?

Hey, I had something similar on my Elgrand. Rough running and the engine light. Did the error code point towards the injectors? Sometimes airflow sensors can cause weird issues too. It might be worth checking those as well.

Thanks for the reply! The error specifically mentions 'quantity drift compensation'. I'm not sure if that directly implicates the injectors, or something else in the fuel system. Would you say the error code you saw pointed directly at the injectors?

Yeah, mine was a similar 'drift compensation' thing. I remember thinking it could be something else, but honestly, after chasing a few things, it turned out to be the injectors. I'd get it checked by a workshop before throwing parts at it.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. Took it to a mechanic, and you were right. Injector was defective and needed replacing. Cost me 515€, but it's running smoothly now!
