Elysion Blower Motor Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Honda Elysion's fresh air blower motor stopped working, with an error stored, leading to suspicion of a defective blower motor. A possible cause could be a faulty fan speed controller, also known as a blower motor resistor, which regulates voltage to the blower motor. It is suggested to have the vehicle diagnosed at a workshop to determine if the issue is with the motor, resistor, or another component of the HVAC system, as professional diagnosis could save money and ensure proper repair.

Thanks. I haven't checked the fan speed controller yet. Could you provide more information about how to test it, or where to locate it? I am not very experienced with HVAC systems.

I didn't test mine, to be honest. Locating it can be a pain, and requires some dismantling. Given you have an error code and a dead blower, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose if it's the motor, the resistor, or something else entirely in the HVAC system like a wiring fault or the climate control unit itself. It could save you money in the long run. My issue turned out to be the motor. Cost me around 365€ to get sorted.

Thank you for the helpful information and advice. I have decided to take the vehicle to a workshop for diagnosis and repair, as suggested. I appreciate you sharing your experience and the repair cost. Hopefully, it will be a straightforward fix. It's useful information!

I had a similar issue with my Elysion. Before replacing the blower motor, did you check the fan speed controller? It's also known as a blower motor resistor, and regulates the voltage to the blower motor, controlling its speed. If that fails, the motor won't receive power, even if the motor itself is fine. It's usually located near the blower motor, often under the glove box.
