Thanks, that's helpful. Is it possible to check the cable or plug connection of the component defective myself without dismantling half the dashboard, or is this something best left to a workshop?

While a visual inspection of the wiring and connectors associated with the air distribution flap motor might be feasible, accessing the relevant components typically necessitates partial disassembly of the dashboard. Considering the potential for inadvertent damage or improper reassembly, engaging a qualified technician is the recommended course of action. The cost shouldn't be too high, around 95€.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on – it was a dodgy connector. They fixed it for just under 100€, and the heating is working perfectly again. Cheers!

Greetings. The symptoms you describe, in conjunction with the stored error, do suggest a potential malfunction within the HVAC unit, specifically concerning the air distribution mechanism. The error memory points towards a defective cable or plug connection, which is a plausible cause.
