Elysion Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda Elysion hybrid experienced engine stalling at idle and a check engine light, suspected to be due to a fuel tank ventilation system leak. A possible cause mentioned was a faulty pressure sensor or a leak in the EVAP system, with a suggestion to check the gas cap. The issue was resolved by replacing a defective activated charcoal filter, a common cause for EVAP system leaks, at a repair shop.

No fuel odor. Where was the leak in your case?

I didn't actually find the leak myself. After a lot of head-scratching I took it to a workshop, they did a leak detection test and found a defective activated charcoal filter. Apparently, that's a common cause for EVAP system leaks. Best to get it checked out professionally.

Thanks. Took it to the shop. Defective activated charcoal filter, like you said. Repair cost 275€. All sorted.

I had a similar issue with my Elysion. Check engine light and occasional stalling. I remember reading somewhere that a faulty pressure sensor can trigger the check engine light, or it can be a leak somewhere in the EVAP system. Have you checked the gas cap? It sounds silly, but that could be the culprit, otherwise it's off to find where the leak is. When the engine stalls, is there a strong fuel odor?
