Elysion Hybrid Uneven Running
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda Elysion hybrid with 103,831 km started running unevenly, with the check engine light occasionally illuminating and a jerking sensation during acceleration. The issue was primarily noted during the transition from the electric motor to the gasoline engine. After checking the air filter and spark plugs, which appeared fine, the problem was suspected to be related to an exhaust leak. A workshop inspection revealed a small crack in the exhaust manifold, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

The jerking is mainly when I'm accelerating moderately, especially when the electric motor switches to the gasoline engine. My fuel economy has dropped a bit, maybe 5%. Could an exhaust leak cause misfires, affecting combustion and causing these problems?

A leak could cause a misfire, but I'd expect to hear it. Plus, usually you'd smell exhaust fumes. That transition from electric to gasoline is key. Honestly, at that mileage, and with those symptoms, I'd strongly suggest getting the exhaust system checked for leaks and any potential issues with the catalytic converter at a reputable workshop. Could save you a headache down the line.

I took it to a shop, and they found a small crack in the exhaust manifold, letting air in. Repairing it cost 265€ and fixed the problem. Thanks for the help!

Uneven running on a hybrid Elysion... hmm. Is the jerking consistent, or does it happen more at certain speeds or engine loads? Also, have you noticed any changes in fuel economy recently? Could be a misfire but those usually throw pretty specific codes.
