Elysion incorrect vehicle coding errors
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Honda Elysion is experiencing multiple error messages related to incorrect vehicle coding, appearing on both the infotainment system and speedometer. The issue is likely due to a problem with the CAN bus, where modules are not communicating correctly or expecting configurations that aren't present. Suggested solutions include checking connections, resetting the system, and ultimately taking the vehicle to a workshop with proper diagnostic tools to recode the affected modules.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

That's the thing, it's not specifically pointing to a VIN mismatch. More like the system is expecting a feature or configuration that isn't actually present. Did your issue also present with error messages on both the infotainment and speedometer simultaneously?

Yes, that sounds very much like what happened with mine. Seeing errors on both screens is a good clue that it is likely the CAN bus, and that the coding is the problem. If you haven't already, check all your connections, maybe you can try a reset of the system, but honestly, I'd bite the bullet and take it to a workshop with the proper Honda diagnostic tools. They can recode the affected modules and get everything back in sync. It'll save you a lot of guesswork.

Thanks for the insight! Taking it to a shop seems like the way to go. They reckon it's going to be about 360€ to sort out the coding. Hopefully that'll be the end of it.

I had something similar happen on my Elysion. By 'incorrect vehicle coding', do you mean it's throwing codes related to modules not communicating correctly or VIN mismatch errors? The CAN bus (Controller Area Network, is a robust vehicle bus standard designed to allow microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other's applications without a host computer) can be a real pain when modules aren't speaking the same language.
