Elysion NOx Catalyst Aging and Exhaust Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Elysion hybrid displayed a check engine light at 26,343 km, with an error indicating NOx storage catalyst aging and an observed exhaust leak. The exhaust leak was identified as a potential cause affecting the NOx catalyst's efficiency. A workshop confirmed the leak's impact on the catalyst, and the issue was resolved with a repair.

I haven't done too much diagnostics, just read the error code. Fuel efficiency seems normal. You think it's the NOx catalyst for sure?

Not 100% sure, but a leak in the exhaust system can definitely affect the NOx catalyst's efficiency and trigger that error. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they can do a proper smoke test and pinpoint the leak.

Thanks. Took it to the shop, and you were right. Small exhaust leak was messing with the NOx catalyst. Repair cost me 265€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW 530e, check engine light and everything. What diagnostics have you run so far? Is there a noticeable drop in fuel efficiency? It sounds like it could be related to your emissions system.
