EMehari High Voltage System Error

I've got a 2016 Citroen EMehari, electric engine, with about 109,700 km on it. Recently, I've been getting a high-voltage system error message. Sometimes the engine just shuts off, or the power is significantly reduced. Anyone else experienced something similar? I checked the basic stuff, but electrics aren't really my area.

Whoa, that sounds like a proper system malfunction! 'High-voltage system error' could be a bunch of things on an EV like yours. Could be related to the inverter, or even the battery pack itself. Any other weirdness, like odd noises or smells? Do you have the option to read out the error memory? That would narrow it down a lot!

Thanks for the quick reply! I did manage to read the error memory – it definitely points to something battery-related, heavily discharged or defective it says. Does that sound like a death sentence for the battery, or could it be something else causing the discharge?

Okay, 'heavily discharged or defective' plus the symptoms you're seeing... yeah, that really points to the battery being the prime suspect. Could possibly be a charging issue maybe, but honestly, at that mileage and with that error, I'd brace yourself. That battery has probably seen better days. I hate to say it, but a workshop visit with someone who knows EVs well is your best bet now. Do NOT mess with high-voltage systems yourself. It's not worth the risk!

Appreciate the honest assessment! Sounds like I'm off to the shop then. Just got the bill: 290€. Fingers crossed that will solve the issue.
