EMehari power loss

I'm having a strange issue with my 2017 Citroen EMehari (electric engine). It's got 138804 km on the clock. Recently, I've noticed a significant reduction in engine power, and the check engine light is on. Could this be a defective throttle valve, accelerator pedal module, or the electronics inside? Has anyone experienced something similar?

That sounds frustrating! I have an EMehari too, and a while back I experienced almost the exact same thing: reduced power and the check engine light. Was your fuel efficiency also impacted? Did it feel like it was stuck in some kind of limp mode? It could indeed be a throttle issue, maybe the throttle body needing a clean or the throttle sensor acting up.

Interesting. Yes, fuel efficiency has definitely taken a hit, and limp mode is a good way to describe it. How did you resolve your issue? Was it a simple fix, or did it require more extensive work?

In my case, it persisted despite trying some basic troubleshooting. I ended up taking it to a workshop where they diagnosed it properly. It's always best to get a professional opinion, right? They replaced some faulty components. It sounds very similar to what you are experiencing. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the insight and advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I've taken it to a trusted mechanic who confirmed the throttle valve was defective. It ended up costing me 265€, but at least it is sorted now.
