Endeavour wiper failure
Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2003 Ford Endeavour stopped working, and an error related to the wiper system was detected. The fuse was checked and found to be fine, suggesting the issue might be elsewhere. A suggestion was made to inspect the wiring harness connecting the wiper motor and switch, as loose or corroded connections could be the cause. Ultimately, a workshop identified and fixed a defective cable and plug connection, resolving the problem.

Thanks for the tip. Where exactly is that wiring harness located? And is it easy to get to, or do I need to remove a bunch of stuff to access it? Is the rain sensor connected to that same harness?

Yes, the rain sensor is integrated. The wiring harness runs along the steering column and connects to the wiper motor under the hood. It's usually accessible after removing some of the plastic trim around the steering column. Given that you have an error code and have checked the fuses, it might be best to have a workshop take a look at it. I'm not comfortable enough giving advise beyond this point.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right - it was a defective cable and plug connection. They replaced it, and everything is working fine now. Cost me around 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Endeavour. Have you checked the wiring harness that connects to the wiper motor and the switch on the steering column? Sometimes those connections can become loose or corroded, especially with older vehicles. It could also be the rain sensor if your car has one.
