Hey, thanks for the quick reply! That sounds like the same drama I'm currently going through with my Hiace. I'm a bit relieved that it doesn't seem to be a serious fault. Do you remember how much all that fun with the mechanic cost you? And have you had any other problems since then, or is everything running smoothly with your Hilux?

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for, to exchange ideas! After my visit to the workshop, the fault with the throttle valve was rectified. I was quite happy with the costs from the mechanic. The guys repaired the accelerator pedal module and it cost me €205. But it's worth it, if you ask me. Since then my Hilux has been running like a charm, no further problems so far. So cheer up, your Hiace will be fine!

Wow, thanks buddy, you've really helped me a lot! 205 really does seem like a fair price, so I'm a bit reassured. I'll probably make an appointment with the mechanic on Monday and hope that mine runs like a charm again soon. It's great that your Hilux hasn't caused any more problems, that gives me a positive outlook on my Hiace! Thanks again for your help!

Hey buddy, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Toyota Hilux Diesel. I had exactly the same symptoms and it almost drove me crazy. I also took my car to a mechanic and it turned out that the accelerator pedal module was actually faulty. Don't worry, this is dubious, but not a really serious fault. The guys in the workshop had to replace the module and everything ran like clockwork. It seems it's your turn too. Good luck with it!
