Eon air suspension problem
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Hyundai Eon with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with its air suspension, resulting in a failure to lift and a bumpy ride. The problem is suspected to be related to the air suspension bellows valve. The compressor running more than usual and the car leaning to one side suggest a potential leak or fault in the valve. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect and confirm the issue, as a similar case was resolved by replacing a defective valve.

Compressor seems to be running more than usual. How did you pinpoint the bellows valve on yours? Any specific tests you ran?

The compressor running constantly is a big clue. Initially, I also suspected the height sensor, but the fact that the car was leaning to one side indicated a problem with one of the air springs or, more likely, its valve. I didn't run any tests myself. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the valve was leaking. If you have the same symptoms, you likely have a faulty suspension air bag valve. I would recommend a mechanic.

Thanks for the insight. I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the bellows valve. They confirmed the valve was defective and quoted 590€ for the repair.

Sounds like your air suspension is shot. I had similar issues with my Eon – leaning, ride height problems, the works. Is the compressor running constantly? Have you checked for any obvious leaks in the air lines or around the air springs themselves? Could be a faulty ride height sensor too, but the bellows valve is a prime suspect with those symptoms.
