Eon fuel flap release problem
Summary of the thread
The 2013 Hyundai Eon has a problem with the fuel flap release not working, accompanied by an error in the memory and intermittent unavailability of some functions. Possible causes include a malfunction in the central locking system, a defective fuel flap actuator, or compromised electrical connections such as fuses and wiring harnesses. The recommended solution is to consult a qualified technician for a comprehensive system scan, which ultimately revealed a faulty lock actuator that needed replacement.

Fuses and wiring, huh? I hadn't thought of that. Where exactly should I be looking for these fuses and wiring harnesses? Any specific locations to check first?

Given the symptoms and the error memory log, it is plausible that the issue stems from either a defective fuel flap actuator or a broader problem within the central locking module. While inspecting fuses and wiring is a prudent first step, diagnosing the root cause accurately often necessitates specialized diagnostic equipment. Without access to such tools and the relevant technical documentation, attempting repairs could inadvertently exacerbate the problem. Therefore, I would recommend consulting a qualified technician who can perform a comprehensive system scan and pinpoint the precise source of the malfunction. Would you agree?

Thanks. Took it to the shop as you suggested. Turns out the lock actuator was kaput. Cost me 210€, but at least it's fixed.

I understand you are experiencing issues with your Hyundai Eon's fuel filler flap mechanism. The symptoms you describe are indicative of a potential malfunction within the central locking system or the fuel flap release actuator itself. Before assuming it is purely mechanical, have you verified the integrity of the relevant fuses and wiring harnesses? A compromised electrical connection could easily manifest in the error codes you are observing, and the sporadic nature of the other function failures.
