Eon Rear Ventilation Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Hyundai Eon owner experienced a rear ventilation problem where the air conditioning failed to cool, particularly for rear passengers, and an error was stored in the climate control unit's memory. The issue was suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that a defective plug connection on the rear ventilation flap actuator was the cause. The connection was re-seated, the error cleared, and the system functioned correctly again.

Good point about the fuse, hadn't considered that. I'll check it tonight. The fan is blowing, but it's just... warm air. Assuming the fuse is fine, could it still be just a bad connection somewhere? Like, could a loose plug really cause all these symptoms, or am I chasing a ghost?

Okay, warm air with a blowing fan AND an error code is suspicious, alright? A loose connection could do it, sure, especially to the flap actuator motor, but honestly, with all those symptoms piling up? Personally, I'd be very tempted to take it to a workshop. Why risk messing with the climate control system, you know? It could be a simple fix, but it could also be something more complicated. Especially since the A/C isn't cooling. Are you sure it is worth your time?

Thanks for the advice! You're right, probably best not to mess with it too much myself. Took it to the workshop this morning. Turns out it WAS a defective plug connection on the rear ventilation flap actuator, just like I suspected. They re-seated it, cleared the error, and everything's working perfectly again. Total cost was 95€, so not too bad. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds like a drag! A/C problems are the WORST, especially for the people in the back! If you're getting an error code AND the A/C isn't cooling, that points to something more than just a minor hiccup. Is the fan blowing in the back at all? Have you checked the fuse for the rear ventilation? Sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked, you know?
