Epica preheating lamp issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Chevrolet Epica diesel with 134,863 km has a persistent preheating lamp issue, likely due to a defective glow plug. This problem is associated with a rough idle, especially when the engine is cold. The suggested solution is to have the glow plugs checked and replaced by a professional, which resolved the issue in this case.

Thanks! Yeah, I've noticed a rough idle when it's cold. Can you tell me more about what happened with yours? Did it fix itself, or did you have to get it repaired? And how much did it cost?

The rough idle stuck around, and the engine light stayed on. I ended up taking it to a shop. I'd suggest getting the glow plugs checked out by a professional to make sure that's really the problem. Better safe than sorry with a diesel.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop like you said. It was a defective glow plug, and the repair set me back 440€. The preheating lamp is working fine now.

I own an Epica too and had something similar happen. If the engine light's on and the car's idling rough, it could definitely be the glow plugs. Have you noticed any issues with the engine, especially when it's cold?
