EQC air suspension malfunction

My 2022 Mercedes EQC Electric has air suspension problems The vehicle won't lift and leans to one side There's a fault code and the low beams are misaligned I suspect a defective cable or plug on the air suspension compressor Has anyone else seen this

Sounds familiar I had a similar issue with my EQC The symptoms you describe point towards the air suspension compressor, just like you suspect Think of it like a bicycle pump struggling to inflate a tire The leaning indicates uneven air distribution, suggesting a leak or compressor malfunction Have you checked for any obvious signs of air leaks around the struts or the compressor itself Listen closely when the car attempts to level

Thank you for your prompt response I have not yet conducted a thorough inspection for air leaks Could you perhaps provide more specific guidance on where to look and what to listen for, especially concerning the struts and compressor Are there any telltale signs, like a hissing sound or visible damage, that I should be aware of

Yes, hissing is the key Listen carefully near each air strut (the 'shock absorbers' of the air suspension) Also, get as close as you can to the compressor, usually located near a wheel well If you hear hissing, that's your leak Honestly though, given the error messages and the leveling issue, it really does sound like a compressor issue or a bad connection For 95€, I wouldn't even bother troubleshooting Just take it to the shop

I appreciate your advice Based on your recommendation and my own observations, I decided to take the EQC to a certified Mercedes-Benz workshop As it turned out, the issue was indeed a faulty electrical connector on the air suspension compressor, just as I initially suspected The connector was replaced, and the system is now functioning correctly The total cost was 95€, as anticipated Thank you again for your assistance; your insights were invaluable
