EQC power loss and check engine light
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Mercedes EQC is experiencing reduced engine power and a check engine light, possibly due to a defective throttle valve or issues within the accelerator pedal module or its electronics. The symptoms, including response delay during acceleration, suggest a faulty throttle position sensor. It is recommended to have the accelerator pedal module or electronics inspected at a workshop to address the issue.

Thank you for your input. I have noted a response delay, especially during initial acceleration. Could this issue significantly affect fuel efficiency? The potential impact on engine idling is also a concern.

Yes. The response delay and reduced fuel efficiency strongly suggest a faulty throttle position sensor. I advise you have the accelerator pedal module or the electronics inspected. I paid about 265€ for the replacement. Given your symptoms, a workshop visit is needed.

The symptoms you describe sound like a throttle sensor malfunction. Have you observed any response delay or impact on fuel efficiency along with the power reduction? My EQC had similar issues. A defective throttle sensor can trigger the check engine light.
