EQC siren communication fault

My 2019 Mercedes EQC Electric is throwing an error about a siren communication fault The alarm system isn't working Diagnostic says it's likely a dodgy cable or plug connection Has anyone else had this I've got 134394 km on the clock The error memory says it's a security breach but I'm hoping it's just a faulty connection Quoted 95€ for a repair Could it be something I can tackle myself or is this a dealer job for alarm disarm and fault detection

Yep, had a similar issue on my EQC. The alarm was acting up. I'd check the siren connection first. It's usually a simple fix, but vehicle security is important.

Where exactly is the siren connection Is it easy to get to or am I going to be pulling half the car apart Any tips on checking it properly so I don't trigger something else

It's a pain to reach, honestly. I'd just get it to the workshop. Saves time and potential headaches. Plus, you don't want to mess with the alarm reset if you're not sure.

Thanks for the advice Took it to the shop, and you were right. It was a corroded connector. They cleaned it up, reset the system, and it's all good now. 95€ well spent for the vehicle security
