Equinox Overvoltage Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevy Equinox diesel is experiencing overvoltage errors and system failures, with a weak battery during startup. The issue may be caused by a heavily discharged or defective battery. A suggestion to check the voltage regulator was made, but ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the battery, which was identified as the cause of the overvoltage issue.

Voltage regulator, huh? I haven't checked that specifically. Where is that located, and is it easy to test? And no, just a bunch of overvoltage codes and random system failures.

Yeah, sounds familiar. Honestly, I didn't mess with it myself. Took it straight to a workshop. Saved myself a headache. They diagnosed it quickly. Probably best to have it checked out professionally before you fry something.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop like you said. Turns out it WAS the battery causing the overvoltage issue - a new battery and diagnostics ended up costing 290€. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my Equinox. Lots of weird electrical issues and overvoltage codes. Have you checked the voltage regulator? That might be the culprit. Is it throwing any specific codes besides the overvoltage?
