Equinox weak heating output
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Chevy Equinox is experiencing weak heating output and an error code, possibly due to a defective water valve or a bad connection. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by checking for corrosion on the valve connector. After inspection and professional diagnosis, the problem was confirmed to be a defective water valve and a corroded connector, which were repaired for 95€.

Corrosion, huh? Where exactly was the connector located on your BMW? Just trying to get a sense of where to focus my inspection on the Equinox.

On the BMW, it was right on the valve itself, near the firewall. But honestly, based on your symptoms and the error code, and the fact that my issue was resolved only by replacing the valve, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for diagnosis. It may save you a lot of time.

Appreciate the insight. Took it in, and you were right. Defective water valve, plus a corroded connector. 95€ all in. Thanks!

Interesting. I had a similar heating issue with my old BMW 3 series. Turned out to be a corroded connector on the valve. Check the wiring and plug really carefully for any signs of damage or corrosion before you dig deeper.
