Equus Overheating Electric Fan Connector

My 2012 Hyundai Equus with a gasoline engine is overheating badly. The temp gauge is spiking, and I suspect the electric fan isn't working. Fuses look okay, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2012 Hyundai Equus is experiencing severe overheating, with suspicions that the electric fan isn't functioning properly. The initial check of fuses showed no issues, leading to the consideration of a faulty connection to the fan's electric motor as a potential cause. It was suggested to inspect the cable and plug connections near the radiator. Ultimately, a workshop identified and replaced a faulty connector on the electric fan motor, resolving the overheating problem.

I had a similar overheating issue with my Equus. It was a faulty connection to the fan's electric motor. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the fan itself? Might be something simple.

Thanks! Where is that located? Is it easy to get to? It has about 180k km on it, if that matters.

It's a bit awkward to get to, near the radiator. Given your mileage and the overheating, it could be more than just the plug. I'd get it checked by a workshop to be safe. Probably the cable or the connection, as it was in my case.

Thanks, that confirms my fears. The shop found a dodgy connector on the electric fan motor and replaced it. Cost 95€, but at least it's fixed! Really appreciate the help!
