Equus Terminal 15 Ignition Error
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Hyundai Equus was experiencing a "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" error, preventing it from starting. The initial suspicion was a defective cable or plug connection. Suggestions included checking the starter solenoid, wiring harness, and relay switch for breaks or corrosion. Ultimately, the issue was traced to a corroded plug connection in the wiring harness, which was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'starter solenoid', did you replace it entirely, or just clean up the contacts? Also, where exactly should I be looking on the wiring harness? I'm decent with a multimeter, but those things are a snake pit of wires!

I ended up replacing the whole solenoid, as cleaning didn't do the trick in my case. As for the wiring harness, focus on the section that feeds power to the ignition system. Honestly, if you're not seeing anything obvious, and you've already got a multimeter out, I'd seriously consider taking it to a trusted workshop. Could save you a lot of time and frustration.

You were spot on! I took it to the shop, and it turns out it was a corroded plug connection in the wiring harness, just like the error code said. 95€ later, she's purring like a kitten again. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar headache with my Equus not too long ago. That Terminal 15 error is a real pain. Did you check the starter solenoid or the wiring harness for any obvious breaks or corrosion? Could be a faulty relay switch starving the engine of power.
