Thanks so much I don't have the wiring diagrams. Where exactly is the siren unit located, and is it easy to get to Also, when you say 'corrosion,' what did it look like

The siren unit's location can vary slightly, but it is commonly found within the front wing or behind the bumper. Access typically requires removing the wheel arch liner or the bumper itself. As for the corrosion, it presented as a greenish-white deposit on the metal contacts of the connector. Given the potential complexity and the error codes you are receiving, proceeding with a workshop visit may be prudent. They can perform a comprehensive diagnosis. My issue was related to the cable or plug connection of the component defective, and the repair cost was 95€. It is always better to seek professional assistance to ensure proper resolution and prevent further complications.

I have a similar EQV. I recall a comparable situation with my alarm system. The fault detection pointed to a defective cable or plug connection related to the siren. The signal problem stemmed from corrosion on a connector. I would advise inspecting the wiring harness and connectors leading to the siren unit. Pay close attention to any signs of damage or corrosion. Do you have access to the vehicle's wiring diagrams
