EQV Automatic Tailgate Woes Electrical Sensor Fault

I'm seeing a persistent error on my 2020 Mercedes EQV, electric engine, with 121135 km. Error memory shows a hall sensor fault on the power tailgate. It only opens partially. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else seen this? What am I looking at in terms of repair?

I had similar grief with my Skoda. Was the sensor wiring the culprit?

Confirmed. Same problem with the wiring on my Octavia's automatic tailgate. Connector corrosion. Take it to the shop, they'll sort it.

Wiring was indeed the problem.

I replaced the faulty section of the sensor wiring and the plug connector. 95€ all in. Thanks for the pointer.
