ES Hybrid Reduced Engine Power

That's an interesting point. I did have a third-party chip tuning installed a few months ago in hopes of enhancing fuel efficiency. Could this modification truly be the culprit behind the error and diminished performance? It seems unlikely, but what could be the relation?

Yep, that's almost definitely it. These cars are super sensitive. My dealer told me those chip tunes mess with the engine's computer. Honestly, I'd take it to a trusted workshop and have them check it out. They can probably undo the tuning and clear the code. Trust me, it's better to be safe than sorry!

Following your advice, I had the vehicle inspected by a certified Lexus technician. As suspected, the issue was traced back to the faulty chip tuning. The repair, involving the removal of the problematic chip and restoration of the original settings, amounted to 180€. Thank you; your shared experiences were invaluable!

Oh, that sounds familiar! I have an ES hybrid too, and I had something similar happen last year. Reduced power and a fault code... did you recently get any aftermarket chip tuning done? That was my problem. Some of those third-party tuners can mess things up!
