Escape ABS and Steering Issues

Interesting... soapy water, good idea! I didn't specifically check the valves, I just assumed the pressure loss was due to temperature changes or something. But the ABS and steering issues make me think it's more than just a simple leak. Could a bad valve really cause all those symptoms?

Well, in my case, the Astra didn't have those extra symptoms, so yours does sound more complicated. But a slow leak could definitely mess with the car's sensors and throw things off. Honestly, with the ABS and steering problems, I'd strongly recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to steering!

Thanks for the advice! I did the soapy water test and sure enough, one of the valves was leaking like crazy. Took it to the shop, they replaced the valve and the sensor on that tire. Total cost was 280€. Everything's back to normal now! Turns out the faulty valve was messing with the ABS and power steering systems due to uneven tire pressure. Appreciate the help!

Wow, that sounds rough! I had a similar thing happen with my old Opel Astra, though not quite as dramatic. I kept getting a low tire pressure warning, and it turned out to be a faulty valve in one of the tires causing a slow leak. Did you check the valves themselves when you were inflating the tires? Maybe try soapy water to see if you can spot any bubbles?
