Escape brake light switch fault

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms - brake lights not working and errors popping up. Have you recently messed with the brake pedal or anything around that area?

Messed with it? I don't think so. Can't remember doing anything out of the ordinary. Why do you ask?

Well, on my Megane, I accidentally kicked the connector for the brake light switch under the pedal. It was loose, causing intermittent contact. I'd suggest you take it to a workshop, or you can try to fiddle with it.

Thanks, it was exactly that. Kicked the connector loose, as you said. Plugged it back in, and all good. Cost me nothing!
