Espace Knock Sensor Connection

Thanks! No other codes. Where exactly was the dodgy connection on your Insignia? Was it visibly corroded, or more of a loose fit? Did you try cleaning the connection first, or replace the sensor?

On my Insignia, it was the connector itself – the plastic housing was cracked, and the pins were slightly bent. Cleaning it didn't really fix it long-term. Replacing the connector sorted it. With the Espace being relatively new, a workshop might be worth it if cleaning doesn't help.

Thanks! I'll try cleaning the contacts first. If not, I'll take it to a workshop. A new connector should be around 95€.

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Insignia, check engine light, poor performance. It turned out to be a dodgy connection to the sensor. Have you tried cleaning the contacts with some electrical contact cleaner? Any other codes showing up besides the knock sensor?
