Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate your suggestion regarding the fuses; however, I lack the necessary expertise to confidently assess the fuse configuration related to the steering column adjustment mechanism. Could you kindly provide more detailed instructions or guidance on identifying and inspecting the relevant fuses? Furthermore, are there any specific tools or equipment that I should acquire before attempting this task?

Okay, fuses can be a pain. Honestly, I'm no expert either - I just remember the mechanic mentioning it when he was poking around. Given you're not super confident (and messing with electrics can be risky), maybe just bite the bullet and get it to a workshop? My bill was only 95€ in the end, which wasn't too bad. Peace of mind, you know?

I extend my sincere gratitude for your invaluable assistance and insights. Your recommendation to seek professional assistance proved to be particularly prudent. I heeded your advice and entrusted the vehicle to a qualified mechanic, who promptly identified and rectified the defective cable or plug connection within the steering column adjustment mechanism. The total cost of the repair amounted to 95€, consistent with your prediction. Once again, thank you for your guidance.

Hey there! Wow, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen with my Espace. Super annoying, right? For me, it started with just a slight hesitation when adjusting the column, then BAM, nothing. I bet it's a dodgy connection like they said. Don't go ripping the car apart just yet, though... Did you check the fuses?
