Essentia Parking Heater Error
Summary of the thread
The parking heater in a 2012 Chevrolet Essentia with a gasoline engine failed to activate, and an error was stored, suggesting a potential issue with the glow plug. A similar problem in another vehicle pointed towards a defective glow plug or relay as a possible cause. The recommended solution was to have a professional workshop diagnose the issue, which confirmed the glow plug defect and led to its repair.

How do I effectively test the glow plug relay? Is a multimeter enough, or are there specific procedures?

A multimeter can work. But with the error code and my Astra experience, a workshop might be best for a full diagnosis. Safer to see a doctor than self-medicate.

Took it to a workshop as you suggested. It was a defective glow plug. Repair was 440€. Your advice was invaluable.

I had a similar problem with my 2014 Opel Astra, though a different engine. Sounds like a glow plug issue. Like a light bulb burning out. Have you checked the glow plug relay?
