Emissions I have not checked, although, that makes a lot of sense. I was getting around 10 liters per 100km and now I'm seeing almost 16! It's insane. Did changing out the nozzles solve all your problems, or was there more to it?

In my case, replacing the nozzles completely resolved it. Given the high fuel consumption and other performance issues you've described, it's very likely you have the exact same issue. I believe cleaning won't solve it, but going to a workshop and asking for professional help it the best call.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it. I took it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out, the injection valves were caked in carbon. The replacement cost me 515€, and now the Estima runs like a dream again!

I had similar symptoms with my Estima. The poor starting and uneven idling were the first clues. Have you checked your emissions? That can provide a strong hint towards injection problems. Think of it like a clogged artery restricting blood flow, except it's fuel being restricted to your engine. What kind of fuel consumption are you seeing now compared to what you used to get?
